Mexican Chef's Salad

1 pound lean ground beef
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 head of lettuce, torn into pieces
1 small onion, sliced or chopped
1 cup shredded Colby cheese
2 ripe tomatoes, chopped
1 15-ounce can kidney beans, drained
1 cup mayonnaise
1 Tablespoon medium taco sauce
1 12-ounce bag tortilla OR corn chips

In a skillet brown the ground beef, drain fat. Reserve 1 Tablespoon taco seasoning; add the rest to the ground beef. Cool meat mixture.
Toss with lettuce, onion, cheese, tomato and beans.
For dressing, combine mayonnaise, taco sauce, and the reserved Tablespoon taco seasoning. Before serving, toss salad with teh dressing and chips.
